Condolences are extended to former Federation hon. sec Anne Flynn of Cappamore ICA on the recent death of her father Mr Kevin Leahy RIP.
who is deeply mourned by his wife Kay, son, daughters, their spouses, his grandchildren, extended family, and friends. His funeral took place on Saturday last October 18th, following Requiem Mass in Holy Rosary Church, Limerick to Crecora Cemetery. May he rest in peace.
Castleconnell ICA mourn the recent death of their former member Mrs Betty Butler, who was a guild member for many years until ill health intervened. Her former ICA colleagues formed a guard of honour and accompanied her remains from the funeral home to Castleconnell Church and also, following Requiem Mass in Castleconnell Church, to Stradbally cemetery where she is laid to rest. Deepest sympathy is extended to her husband Michael, sons Séan, Mike, Ger and Declan, daughter Breda, extended family, many friends and neighbours including Castleconnell ICA members. Betty was a very kind and caring lady and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The members of Ballyhahill ICA extend their sympathy to their guild member Maireád O’Connor on the sudden death of her brother-in-law Mr Michael McCormack, Patrickswell.
Condolences are also extended to Alma Dillon, Cappamore ICA on the death of her mother-in-law Mrs Mary Dillon, Landscape, Pallasgreen and Moig North, Askeaton.

CONSTITUTION AMENDMENTS


There was a very good turn out at recent meeting convened to consider the ramifications of proposed new constitution with almost all 34 guilds represented. The next step for guilds is to convey their proposed amendments for consideration to Central Office, Dublin before Monday October 27th 2008.Do keep in mind that these will all be discussed at National ICA Meeting in Gresham Hotel, Dublin on Sat Dec 6th.With a little planning some retail therapy /Christmas shopping could also be included in such trip!

Fedamore ICA members have drawn up a very impressive programme of activities, all taking place in the community centre on Tuesday nights commencing at 8.30pm over the next few weeks:

Tues October 21st Talk on nutrition by Carmel Gleeson, preceded by a display of various joints of meat by a master butcher.
Tues 28th Irish Night with Ballyhoura, Churchtown and local ramblers.
Tues Nov 4th Health Night
Osteoporosis by Dr Nuala Barry and Arthritis by Nurse Siobhán Irwin
Tues Nov 11th Citizens Advice Information, Facility for questions and answers.
For a modest €5 entry fee an enjoyable and informative night is guaranteed, with a cup of tea, raffle and chat. Members and non-members welcome.
