Meet the President

On Thursday February 26 in the Hibernian Hotel, Mallow, commencing at 7.30pm, the candidates who have been nominated for National ICA President will be present to discuss their strategy for the future of the organisation. As Anne Maria Dennison of Mainistir Na Féile Guild is the Limerick Federation nomination I’m sure you’ll all be present to support her on this very important occasion.
Ann Maria will also be interviewed on live 95Fm on this Saturday February 21st between 9am and 10am and will have some positive statement regarding ICA. Do tune in.

Anne Maria for National President

Composed by Peg Prendeville, Glenbawn, Ballyhahill

The race is on; the date is set, excitement in the air;
The Irish Country women are awake
Searching for a candidate, a President so fair
This person’s credibility is at stake.

Chorus
In Limerick Federation we have just the one they seek
She dynamic, she’s a worker and she’s able
Her name is Anne Maria, sure you all know well
This Anne Maria Dennison from Mainistir Na Féile

Within the ICA she has held every role
Both in guild and in Limerick Federation
At present she’s National Secretary and doing very well
So for President we must give consideration.

Her love of the Gaelic language is evident to see
And she uses it when she gets a chance
She is a gifted speaker, articulate and clear
She’s a singer, she’s a talker, she can dance.

Next year is the big one, our centenary at last
One hundred years since ICA was born
What better way to celebrate than with Anne Maria at the helm
And with the National Presidential chain adorned.
Chorus
