Ann Baggett and Mary Condron of Ballingarry ICA with Ailish McNamara,Glin at the recent launch of Glin’s ‘History of the ICA’

ACTIVITY DAY

Well done to Federation Sports Officer Mary Blackwell of Cappamore and the Kildimo Guild who arranged a most enjoyable activity day on Saturday last in
Kilcornan Community Centre. A walk thro’ the village of Old Stonehall, outlining its early history up to the building of the new Mail road over 150 years ago started the day. The new development of the village was noted with the restoration of Stonehall House and the R.I.C. Barracks and the development of a new business and new housing. The day continued with a number of other activities including Pilates, Dancing and lots of sharing of experiences, stories, and memories. All too soon it was time to say farewell as the participants made their way back home to Ballyhahill, Caherdavin, Cappamore, Castleconnell, Drombanna, Feenagh, and Mainistir na Féile.
Go dtí an cead uair eile.
