Limerick Federation ICA Notes Week ending October20th

WHAT’S COOKING:-
Cooking for family, cooking for friends, cooking for Christmas or cooking for one
Cooking on a budget, cooking up leftovers, cooking to impress or just cooking for fun
Well the new cookbook full of unique family recipes will be ready for the shops soon and well done to Marie McGurk , resident cook at An Grianán and cookery writer who was a guest on The Pat Kenny radio programme this week.
The book is full of all the things we love to cook and fulfils the aim of ICA by promoting traditional values across Ireland. It will be the perfect Christmas gift.

OLDER AND BOLDER:-
The ICA is delighted to support the campaign for equality for older people. The motto is “make home work” – the right to age well at home
Older people and their carers deserve our support and all efforts should be made to allow people to live at home for as long as possible.
Older and Bolder are on their way to the gates of Dail Eireann on Thursday October 18th and we hope their voice will be heard.

VENTURE  FORWARD :-
Venture forward is an organisation for people of retiring age but not of retiring mind. They have invited ICA to join in their activities and they will be launching their new initiative called The Venture Forward Network.
