ICA Castleconnell Members at An Grianán 2008


VALENTINES DAY

It may be almost three months away but some lucky members from Limerick Federation will be making their way to An Grianán where they, in the company of fellow members from around the country, will be wined and dined on Valentines day 2009.This package is part of their prize as Federation winners and Castleconnell’s Agnes Collins (Recipe winner), Imelda O’Grady, Caherdavin (Make and Model) and Question Time Supremes Mary O’Rourke, Kildimo and Eilish Willis and Peggy O’Sullivan from Limerick City will no doubt do us proud. In wishing them well in their endeavours it is also fitting to acknowledge the generous sponsorship of Gem pack Foods, Hickey’s Fabric’s and Delgany ICA Guild towards these National Competition.

Is fiú breathnú ar an gclár ‘Comhrá’ a bhíonn ar TG4 ‘’cuile Daordaoin ag 7.30.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.

Cappamore Guild are hosting a Christmas Floral Demo ‘Sparkling Christmas’
On Friday next Nov 21 in the local Community Centre, commencing at 8pm.Admission is €10 and proceeds are in aid of Columban Mission Fund where members of the Ryan (Luke) family Sr Mary Anthony and Fr John Joe minister.
On Wed December 3rd Kildimo Guild are holding a jewellery evening with Gráinne Sahid, commencing at 8.30pm in ‘Seven Sisters ‘Pub, Old Kildimo.Admission is €5 and proceeds in aid of a rescue fund.
Your support at these events would be very much appreciated and guild members from adjoining areas would be very welcome indeed.

PLANNING AHEAD

For those of you interested in combining a short break and perhaps learning a new skill the 2009 An Grianán Programme is the booklet to peruse. Limerick Week 2009 will be held there from July 6 to 10 with visits to Historic Houses, Pitch and Putt, and a Time for yourself /Pampering course being some of the delights available. ACTIVITIES 2009

When planning programme of events for the coming year all assistance by way of funding and advice is very welcome. County Limerick VEC has, in the past, given tremendous support and their application forms for 2009 will be available shortly. Adult Education Advisor Regina Duane may be contacted at (086)8337615 / Email rduane@limerickvec.ie and is available to discuss with guilds their preferences and requirements .
