Showing Off
These formidable ICA women had every reason to show off their produce
which all merited a variety of awards at various Agricultural Shows throughout
the county.
Among the girls taking home accolades from Cappamore Show were Marie Hayes, Mary Blackwell, Maura Walsh, Nuala Walsh, and Frankie Campbell all from Cappamore ICA.Drombanna was also among the winners ably represented by Breda Flood, Ita Halpin, Peggy Murnane and Mary Moloney. First prize for crochet went to Margaret Rabbit of Murroe while it was no surprise that patchwork expert Annette Long of Limerick City ICA took first in that category.
However once again it was Kathleen Cunningham of Ballyagran ICA who stole the show at Newcastle West obtaining overall First Prize with her flowers.
Well done to all.
