Fed Notes W/E February 20 2010
Glin ICA members received 1st Place in Limerick CoCo Cat C Tidy Gardens Competition 2010 in respect of the Glin ICA Garden.This garden at the entry to the town has been cultivated and attended by their members for many years .
Spring Federation Meeting
The date is this Wednesday February 17 at the Woodlands Hotel, Adare commencing at 8pm, an opportunity to meet old friends and keep up to date with Local and National ICA news and any other hot gossip that’s around.
You might even get to sample a simnel cake.

Activity Day
Seeking to shed those extra few kilos after the holiday excesses. Look no further.
Kathleen Griffin, who holds the Federation Sports Officer portfolio, has a solution for you with an activity day on Saturday February 20 in the Day Care Centre, Drombanna and all guilds are being issued with full details. National Conference
The next National Conference of the organisation takes place on Saturday March 6 in Brandon Hotel, Tralee. Registration commences at 10.00 with the opening address by Anne Maria Dennison National President at 11.00.Among the items on the agenda are ICA membership Development, and Financial Management. Guest speakers include a representative of ESB and The Irish Heart Foundation.All guilds are invited to have one voting delegate present and there is a céad mile fáilte to all other members also.

PRO Training Day
This proposed event due to take place on Saturday Feb 20 has been deferred due to insufficient numbers. However should sufficient guild PRO’s express an interest consideration may be given to arranging another event at some future date.
Cookery Demonstration
International cookery writer and chef Darina Allen will give a cookery demonstration at An Grianán on Thursday March 4 and also on the following day from 12.30 to 5pmTickets for either day may be booked at An Grianán at a cost of €55 which included lunch.
Comhbhrón
Condolences are extended to Catherine Scanlon, Cappagh ICA on the recent death of her father Mr John Scanlon, Curraheen, Rathkeale.

National Display
An invitation is extended to make a scarf to commemorate the organisation’s centenary using any medium of your choice e.g. knitted, crochet, tatting, materials, incorporating your choice of embellishments. Send expression of interest form, together with €3 fee per entry to Anne Gabbett on or before April 16 2010.Judging will take place at Federation AGM on Wednesday April 28 and all entries will be on display at National AGM in Woodlands Hotel on Wednesday May 26 2010
