News from the Guilds

Limerick City Guild’s PRO Annette Long requests your support for their coffee morning on Friday next October 29 at Augustinian Church, O’Connell St, Limerick commencing after 10.15am Mass. Proceeds in aid of Adapt House.

Mass for their decd members will be celebrated by Fr Noel Kirwan PP in the Pastoral Centre, beside St Michaels Church on Wed Nov 3 at 8pm.

Their guild meets on the first Wed of each month at 8pm,also at this location. New members very welcome and Annette may be contacted at (061)343314 /(087)1511686 for further information.

Drombanna guild will hold their next meeting in The day Care Centre on Wed Nov 3 at 8pm.Mass for deceased members will be celebrated there at 9pm .

Member’s ar also reminded that filled shoeboxes will be collected on the night.
Kildimo November meeting will also be held on Wed 5 at 8pm followed by mini auction, proceeds in aid of ACWW. Creative dancing will commence at 6.45pm
prior to the guild meeting. Mass for deceased members and relatives will be celebrated on Saturday Nov 13 at 7pm in Kildimo Church.
The Killulta ICA Painters art exhibition ‘Nollag na mBan XI ‘ will be officially opened at Newcastle West Library  at 3.30pm on Thursday November 6 .

Counselling Service
The ICA counselling service is available to all members and their families. Contact may be made through 1850652652 (cost of local call) and a room is available at Central office for one to one meetings if necessary. The counsellor also makes herself available at council meetings and an appointment is recommended 


Art Activities
A one-day workshop in mono printing will take place on Saturday November 6 in the Day Care Centre, Drombanna from 10am to 2pm. Fee: €20
As spaces are limited to 10, booking with organiser Mary Moloney, Federation Arts officer (083) 3544625  / 061-450909   as soon as possible.
An art quiz /word search with the names of 30 artists, poets, writers, composers and sculptors is also being organised by Mary . Should you wish to obtain an entry sheet please contact Mary and return your completed entries to her at Ballinagarde Cottage, Ballyneety by Monday Nov 22 


Federation Table Quiz
Once again the National Quiz finals  will take place at An Grianán in Spring 2011.The local heats will be held on Tuesday November 9 in Woodlands and all guilds are invited to put forward teams of three. Cover charge is €30 and please inform contest secretary Marie Hayes (087)2453037 of guild intending taking part.
