Askeaton native, Dr Pat Wallace, Director of the National Museum of Ireland was delighted to welcome National ICA President Anne Maria Dennison,Mainistir na Féile (L) who launched the ICA centenary exhibition of arts, crafts and other memorabilia in Collins Barracks, Dublin recently.Also present (R) was Anne Gabbott,Mungret who is Limerick Federation's President.

Nancy McGrath (Nee Franklin) Killuragh, Pallasgreen, Co. Limerick who died recently was a long serving member of Pallasgreen ICA. She was a wonderful craftsperson and attended many courses at An Grianán over the years and was presented with her long service certificate in the organisation at the September Federation Meeting in Adare.
Condolences are extended to her husband John, son George and family, her friends and neighbours and her ICA colleagues in Pallas and further afield.
Nancy’s remains were waked at her home in Killuragh and following
Requiem Mass in St Michael's Church, Cappamore on Friday October 15 she was laid to rest in St Columba's Cemetery, Pallasgreen with a guard of honour of provided by her ICA friends and colleagues.
Deepest sympathy is also extended to Sarah McNamara former Federation President and member of Limerick City guild on the recent death of her husband Mr John McNamara, Parteen RIP. John is deeply mourned by his wife Sarah, and family, extended family and his many friends and former Teagasc colleagues. His funeral took place, following Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Parteen on Saturday October 16 to Mungret Cemetery.

News from the Guilds
Limerick City Guild’s PRO Annette Long invites support for their coffee morning on Friday October 29 at Augustinian Church, O’Connell St, Limerick commencing after 10.15am Mass. Proceeds in aid of Adapt House.
Mass for their decd members will be celebrated by Fr Noel Kirwan PP in the Pastoral Centre, beside St Michaels Church on Wed Nov 3 at 8pm.

Art ActivitiesA one-day workshop in mono printing will take place on Saturday November 6 in the Day Care Centre, Drombanna from 10am to 2pm. Fee: €20

Federation Table Quiz
Once again the National Quiz finals will take place at An Grianán in Spring 2011sponsored by Delgany Guild. The local heats will be held on Tuesday November 9 in Woodlands and all guilds are invited to put forward teams of three. Cover charge is €30 and please inform contest secretary Marie Hayes (087) 2453037 of guild intending taking part.
Other forthcoming national competitions, thanks to generous sponsorship of Hickeys and Gempac include Make and Model, baking and recipes.
