The members of Galbally ICA were saddened to hear of the death of their colleague & founding member Mrs Nell Dillon (née Oliver) Annagh, Galbally, Co. Limerick recently.Condolences are extended to her daughter Bridget Sheehan, son-in-law Jack her granddaughters, extended family, and friends RIP
An ICA guard of honour was provided by her colleagues and friends from the organisation as a tribute to Mrs Dillon’s contribution to one of the oldest guilds in Limerick Federation.
Her funeral took place, following Requiem Mass in Galbally Church to the local cemetery on Thursday Nov 25 2010.

Ecumenical Carol Service
To mark the close of the ICA Centenary year celebrations a carol service will be held in St Michael’s Church, Barrington St, Limerick on Saturday night next Dec11 commencing at 6pm.
Participants in the Federation choir are drawn from various guilds throughout the city and county and Ellen Looby of Drombanna will be conducting .An open invitation is extended to everybody to attend and join in the celebrations which includes light refreshments of a festive nature after the service.

Table Quiz
The final of the Federation Table Quiz, to select a team to compete at National level ,will take place on Tuesday January 30 2011 at Woodlands Hotel,Adare Guilds who intend participating should contact Contest Sec Marie Hayes IMMEDIATELY to register their team(s)
News from the Guilds
Ballingarry Guild’s guest speaker was the very talented Robbie Curtis who gave a wonderful cookery demonstration, full of hints and tips from mouth watering duck delicious quiche and devine pastries! The competition for the best handmade Christmas decoration was won by Anne Baggott! Thank you to all those who donated and came along to support the ICA Christmas Charity Bazaar despite freezing conditions.Over 500 euros was raised with lots of new toys for the "toys for tubs" appeal.All proceeds will be divided between the following four charities:The Butterfly Club (Rathkeale); Duchennes (www.duchenne.ieThe Metabolic Unit, Temple St. Children’s Hospital & St. Vincent de Paul (www.svp.ie) The ICA Christmas night will take place on Wed December 15 in the supper room, everyone please bring a plate.
Castletroy Guilds first Christmas Fair, held in the Kilmurray Lodge Hotel recently was a wonderful success with almost a sell out of handmade crafts and homebaking by the guild members. Prizes for the raffle included Christmas cakes by Kitty O’Keeffe and Sonja O'Hehir. National ICA President Anne Maria Dennison performed the opening ceremony and was joined by Anne Gabbett, current Federation President and Nora O’Connor holder of that role between 1970/1972 and a now a member in Castletroy. Guild President Maureen Sheehan was fulsome in her praise to all for their efforts, including the support by members from other areas. Ní neart go cur le céile.
Dromcollogher Christmas Fair
Saturday next Dec 11 between 12.00 and 5pm.will provide you with an opportunity to support a small, local Limerick endeavor and come home with some unique Christmas gifts.
The students at An t’Ionad Glas, The Organic College in Dromcollogher, Co. Limerick are putting together a vibrant Christmas Market to showcase their talents and to show people what the Organic College is all about. A speaker from Slow Food Movement will make a short presentation at 4.00pm. to outline the work of this organization in promoting quality food in schools and around the world. There will be a wide range of stalls at the market, selling fare from the Gardens as well as crafts and food gifts including delicious chutneys, jams, soups, cordials, home baking, hand-made Chocolates, and other goodies.
