NEWS FROM THE GUILDS:. Ardagh members are busy at present attending an interior design course and also have a knitting project on hands.
Askeaton/Ballysteen members are planning a day out in the Carlow/Kilkenny area on Monday May 30 and anybody wishing to join them should get contact as soon as possible.
Castletroy: Members are holding an open meeting on Tuesday May 17 in Kilmurry Lodge Hotel commencing at 8.30pm . Kildimo Killulta ICA Painters Art Exhibition ’Bóthairín na Smaointe IV’, in conjunction with Bealtaine Festival ,opens at ‘De Bucket ‘Pub, Ferrybridge at 3pm
on Wednesday May 18 .Artist Mark Heng will perform the official opening.

CAPPAMORE SHOW : Its all systems go for the forthcoming Show on Saturday August 20 .This the year of the craft  is exercising the minds of Show Chairperson Marie Hayes  and local ICA members WITH  a surprise event being  planned for The Biddy Mullane Perpetual Cup. Further details will issue shortly.



THESE BOOTS WERE MADE FOR WALKING: Fed Sports Officer Kathleen Griffin would like to thank all associated with the ICA annual charity walk  in aid of National Breast Cancer Research which took place  in this area on Sunday last in Adare.It would be appreciated if all sponsorship cards and monies collected could  be forwarded to Fed Hon Treasurer as soon as is convenient.
NATIONAL AGM: Reminder that this meeting takes place on Saturday May 21,commencing at 10.30am in Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise.

A.C.W.W.: At the recent European conference held in Dublin a cheque in the sum of €13,000 was presented by Anne Maria Dennison National ICA President for the provision of water projects in the Third World. This presentation ,which included €13,000 from the Limerick Federation, is much appreciated and many thanks to all .
As guilds are presently planning their programme for the year ahead consideration might be given to the holding of a special fundraiser among its  members  e.g. mini auction,coffee morning towards this very deserving cause. Is fiu an bheagán



COUNSELLING SERVICE: Invitation to one day workshop on ‘Coping with Loss and Change ‘ at An Grianán on Saturday May 28  10.00 to 16.40 hrs.
The workshops, which will be experiential and interactive, will work as a full group and as small groups to explore and gain information on the following topics:
The stages of Bereavement – initial shock, to sadness, possible anger and moving on Coping with the practicalities – change in circumstances, family members, looking after yourself Loss in its many facets – children/grandchildren emigrating, redundancy or retirement, disability

COMNBHRÓN:Condolences are extended to National ICA PRO Marie O’Toole on the recent death of her husband Martin whose funeral took place on Thursday May 5 following Requiem Mass in St Anne’s Church, Portmarnock .
