Geraldine Cahillane Federation Timire sends out a reminder to all guilds to use the “cúpla focal “ whenever we get the opportunity. She has drawn up a list of twelve suggestions for guild Timirí so all guilds can put these into practice during the coming months. This is a simple one for starters.

HALLOWEEN LUNCH
Once again we look forward to one of the big social events of the year when all the guilds of county Limerick come together for a Halloween Lunch. The date is fixed for Monday October 31st at 12.30 pm in The Woodlands House Hotel, Adare. The tickets are €25 each and this includes a raffle. Guilds are asked to send numbers of people attending to Mary Blackwell before Wednesday October 26th.
The Afternoon Dance organised by the hotel is optional and there is a separate admission charge .

KNIT-A-THON
As part of the Knitting promotion by ICA nationwide Limerick Federation are running a Knit-a- thon on Friday Sept 30th at The Milk Market, Limerick from 11 am to 4pm approx.. We hope all you knitters will join in .Guilds can also arrange a Knit-a-thon in their own local area.
We also remind members knitting for the Heart Foundation that wool and patterns will be available at the Federation Meeting Sept.27th. This is a National effort to highlight the importance of volunteering which is so vital for development of community. If you are not a member of ICA but would like to join in the knitting of hats scarves and mittens for the Irish Heart Foundation and the National Day of Volunteering you will be most welcome .For more information visit www.ica.ie or contact any guild near you.
