HIGH TEA AND TALK:-
It is good to see that High Tea and Talk parties continue throughout Co Limerick.
Broadford ICA will hold their SoS night on Monday October 15th at 7.30 pm in The Community Centre Broadford and Feenagh ICA will have High Tea and a chat on Sunday October 21st in the local Community Centre from 12 noon to 1.30 pm The funds collected will go towards the Limerick Federation Wellness Workshop.
It is also interesting to read the results of A Newstalk/ICA Mental Health Survey. This survey found that one in four women say mental health has declined since the recession. One third of all respondents cite finances as the most stressful part of their lives.
The financial implications of the recession and the present levels of emigration have severely impacted on the lives of ICA Members and all Irish Families.
It is also obvious that the moving of all services to the towns has impacted on the fabric of rural life –no more interacting with postman, garda ,creameries, rural shops, busses no longer stopping locally lack of Broadband . This could lead to isolation for many people in the community.
The full result of the survey will be available to all guilds soon.
