Golden Jubilarions
All members who joined ICA in 1959 or earlier, with at least 50 years membership, will be eligible for a special certificate in the organisations centenary year 2010 to honour their contribution to ICA.One such member who certainly will qualify is Mary Carr from Doon ICA. Mary joined the Virginia Guild in Cavan in 1939 and has been a member ever since in various locations where she resided including Stillorgan, and Cappawhite. Joining her will no doubt be many more and to facilitate the compilation of the list details should be forwarded to Federation Hon Sec Joan Hayes, Sunville, Crecora as soon as is convenient. A special presentation ceremony will be arranged and all will be notified.
Monster Raffle
If you would like a framed signed Munster Rugby Jersey your wish could be granted sooner than you think. The ICA federation raffle, which was rolled out last week, has this very sought after item as its first prize. You could also be in the running for a flat screen TV, Hi-Fi system or many other valuable prizes on Wednesday November 25th when the draw takes place in Woodlands Hotel, Adare.Any of your ICA neighbours will be happy to oblige with tickets at €2 each/books of 6 for €10.
Connradh Na Gaeilge
In planning your guild activities for the months ahead you may wish to learn another language or brush up on the basics you already have. Connradh na Gaeilge, Luimnigh would be happy to conduct a 10 week course sa Ghaeilge with groups of at least 10 people in their own venue at a charge of €40 per person.
Likewise if any group is interested in preparing a play as Gaeilge one of their representatives is available to call and advise at no cost.

Senior Help Line
Volunteers are being recruited for the Limerick Senior Help Line, which provides a confidential, listening service for older people.
This service operates from the Convent of Mercy building, in O’Connell Avenue, Limerick and training will be provided.
