News from the Guilds

Joining their ICA colleagues from various parts of the country last weekend were the Laffan sisters from Dromkeen who together with other Limerick members travelled to meet their idol Daniel O’Donnell in O2.Very worthwhile indeed was this concert and local guilds will no doubt be regaled of some of their exploits in the weeks ahead. Many also availed of the opportunity to visit the ICA stand at the ‘Over 50’s Show’in the RDS over the weekend.
Another successful week for Doon, Drombanna and Limerick City guilds and members wish to record their appreciation of the support that they received at their various events.
Murroe and Cappamore guild members took the awards in the recent Federation Lemon drizzle Cake competition and it was West Limerick’s turn in the Art with Ballyhahill/Loughill, Kildimo, and Mainistir Na Féile topping the list. Well done to all who participated and to the organisers who set the challenge.
