EAR TO THE GROUND:-
The Health and Safety Authority are sponsors for the new series of Ear to the Ground. There will be special emphasis on Safety on the farm and if anybody has “survivor stories” you are asked to give your name in before Nov9th 2012. The contact details are maurakavanagh@hse.ie

SUCCESSFUL CRAFT AND SKILLS DAY:-
Congratulations to Murroe/Boher Guild who held a very successful Craft and skills day recently. This was a real community day with people of all ages attending. ICA members displayed a wide variety of craftwork and baking as well as giving demonstrations and workshops. Well done to all concerned.

MORNING COFFEE:-
Limerick city Guild are holding a special Morning Coffee in The Augustinian Church in O Connells Street Limerick on Thursday Nov11th at 10.30 in aid of Pieta House. You are all invited to call in and support this worthy cause.

POETRY BOOK :-
Peg Prendeville will be launching The Purple Pencil –“reflective poems celebrating everyday life” in Newcastlewest Library on Friday Nov16th @8pm. Celtic Spiritual Singer Nóirín Ní Riain will be doing the launching and all are welcome to attend. There is a CD of the poems included in the book      which will be selling for €12. This will also be the ideal Christmas gift and well done to Peg who is a member of Ballyhahill/Loughill Guild and is well known for writing poems for all occasions.
