Just back from a holiday in An Grianán and widely extolling its amenities are Galbally ladies Peggy Ryan and Nora Sweeney, together with Murroe’s master baker and queen of the barm bracks Helen Lane. Courtesy of FBD Insurances these ladies, in the company of representatives from all other ICA federations around the country, enjoyed a wonderful Spring break in this oasis in County Louth. Courses on offer included gardening, Easter cookery, digital photography and yoga. Teachta Pauline need have no worries should she require assistance at any time in the future, volunteers willing and able!
Crecora ICA
The Crecora ICA Guild extends an invitation to an Evening of Gardening with Stephen Redden of Hilllberry Garden Centre on Wednesday next April 22nd. Commencing at 8pm in the Crecora Community Centre (downstairs), Flowers, Shrubs, Fruits and Vegetables will all be discussed with an opportunity to have your queries aired and answered.

Roses from the Heart’ Bonnets
Bonnets to honour the memory of women from Ireland who were sent to Australia & Van Diemans Land in the early 19th century are presently being made by various ICA guilds throughout Ireland. Ann Gabbett, Mungret/St Pauls is co-ordinating the finished work from the Limerick Federation members and all bonnets should be forwarded to her not later than Friday April 24th

All guilds are invited to submit material for the next issue of the newsletter, which will be published in May. Material may be forwarded either to Federation PRO or directly to Central Office by May 1st 2009.Orders for supplies of this issue ,together with appropriate fee of €2 per copy, should also be placed now .

How are your records for the Guild of the Year Book coming along?
At the end of May, when the year is completed, your entry should then be prepared. Please forward to Annette Long, Federation Contest Secretary, together with entry fee of €10 , not later than Tuesday June 30th .Each federation will select two winning entries for National Contest. Enjoy the challenge.
