FOUNDER MEMBER OF KILDIMO ICA MARY ELLEN GRIFFIN WHO CELEBRATED HER 90TH BIRTHDAY

Kildimo ICA members were saddened to hear of the death of Mr Patsy Hayes, Ballycasey on Friday last May 8th and offer their condolences to his wife Anne, son Tony, and the extended Hayes Family. Patsy’s funeral took place, following Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Kildimo on Monday last May 11th to the local cemetery. Ní imithe uainn ach imithe rómhainn.
The members of Crecora ICA extend their deepest sympathy to their friend and colleague Joan Meaney and her family on the unexpected death in Greece of Joan’s brother Mr Joe O’Malley late of Co Mayo. Funeral arrangements later.

FEDERATION AGM


Monday next May 18th is the date of the Federation Annual General Meeting, which takes place in Woodlands Hotel, Adare commencing at 8pm.This is the occasion when all officers and committee members report on their areas of responsibility for the past year. It is also the time of saying farewell to those who have served the recognised three-year period and welcoming new faces on the officer board and committee. The service given for such period is recognised and acknowledged and for those following on their willingness to participate is always welcome.

KILKENNY TRAVEL

In order to facilitate those wishing to travel to National AGM in Kilkenny on Wednesday May 27 a coach will depart Mainistir na Féile early (6am approx) collecting passengers in Newcastle West, Southcourt Hotel, Dromkeen, Tipperary Town and other places en route as required.

GUILD AGM’s

As is customary membership fees are collected at the guild’s annual general meeting and it is suggested that an amount similar to the current fee (€26) be collected now. Any revision of fees can be dealt with at a subsequent meeting when such details are announced.



ICA CRUISE

Just back from foreign parts International Officer Ann McLoughlin is now putting the final touches to the forthcoming ICA Baltic cruise. Those interested in travelling should take note of the departure sailing date from Harwich, which is Friday August 21. With opportunities to visit at least six Baltic countries in addition to the other delights of a cruising holiday it might be advisable to book your personal trainer now agus ‘Bí ullamh’! NINETY YEARS YOUNG

Congratulations to Mary Ellen Griffin, Old Kildimo founder member of Kildimo ICA and past president who celebrated her 90th Birthday on the Feast of St Díoma May 12th last. An accomplished artist, Mary Ellen commenced painting in the past decade and has some of her work presently on display with the Killulta ICA Painters whose exhibition is hanging in 'De Bucket'Pub, Ferrybridge during the month of Bealtaine.Go mairfidh tú céad.
