PRESIDENT’S DIARY
National ICA President Anne Maria Dennison attended the finals of the Eleanora Gibbon Competition in Dublin last week-end and was on hand to present the award to the winners from Ashford Guild, Co Wicklow. During the coming week she will be engaged in administration duties in Central Office. As the move of the headquarters of the organisation to An Grianan is presently in progress many archival decisions need to be made. Of course like any move an ideal opportunity presents itself for a ‘good spring clean’and an aspirational paperless office!
BÁIDÍN FHEILIMÍ
While Cappamore entry in the Eleanora Gibbon Finals did not achieve the coveted first place all was not lost. The very fine rendering by Joan McLoughlin of Cappamore of this poignant amhrán ‘Báidin Fheilimí’ at the finals in Dublin last weekend ensured that she was honoured with the best cameo award.
Go mba fada buan thú Joan.
