REPORTING SKILLS

Hindsight is wonderful! How many times did we wish, on looking through old photographs and trying to recall dates or even the year taken, that somebody had written some details on the back. What about updating your skills?

Perhaps an entry for the National ICA Trophy for Reporting 2009 might get you started. Write an article of approx 500 words on Promoting ICA in a local newspaper or in a women’s group. All entries to be typed on one side of paper only, double spacing and wide margins.

Forward it, together with en entry fee of €5, to National Contest Secretary Hilda Roche by Friday September 25th 2009.

ADVANCE WARNING

The recent Contest weekend at An GrianĂ¡n was an outstanding success and the sponsors are once again coming on board for a further round of activities e.g. Baking, Make and Model, Table Quiz and Creative Writing. All federation finals will be run off by early December and the Special Contest Finals at An GrianĂ¡n will take place on March 12th t 14th 2010.
