Multi Tasking
It is a recognised fact that the ladies of the ICA are well versed in multi tasking.
At present the Cappamore ladies are exhibiting this skill to its full potential as the countdown is on for their Show on Wednesday August 19th. Federation President Marie Hayes holds down the onerous position of Cathaoirleach of the local show committee .Hot on her heels is Peggy Ryan Luke whose husband Paddy is in his 50th year as Show secretary making him the longest serving show secretary in the country and proving that behind every successful man is an equally organised woman. Then there’s Lucy Walsh, Berna Burke, Phyllis Ryan, Mary Blackwell, Nuala Walsh and many more beavering away to ensure that all goes well on the day. Among the many categories at the Cappamore Show is one confined to ICA members to submit a flowering pot plant. However there will be many more categories of interest including baking, homemade jams, art, crafts, flowers etc. Do get a copy of the full details, submit your entries and enjoy the day out in Portnard.
Harvest Fair
