Annual General Meeting
The federation AGM takes place tonight Wednesday April28 in Woodlands Hotel,Adare commencing at 8pmIn addition to electing new officers for the year ahead, EU speakers
will address this Federation meeting. Matters relating to the Europen Parliament and its legislation will be discussed and questions on same dealt with. Spot prizes for the National AGM may also be handed in at this meeting.
Bealtaine Art Exhibition
The Killulta ICA Painters, Kildimo will hold their Bealtaine art exhibition ‘Bóthairín na Smaointe 111 in ’De Bucket’ Pub,Ferrybridge during mí na Bealtaine. Ballingarry ICA
Congratulations to recently appointed PRO Aine McGoey of Ballingarry guild. who wishes to notify all interested of an event coming up in Ballingarry on Wednesday May 5. A talk entitled ‘An Introduction to Reflexology’by reflexologist Maggie Murphy will commence at 8.30pm in the supper room of Ballingarry Hall. All welcome.

Federation Vice President Anne Gabbett is co ordinating this centenary exhibition and seeks your support in reaching the magical number of one hundred. She will gladly accept all entries at the Federation meeting tonight Wednesday April 28 in Woodlands. Please finish off your entry (ies)
and add your centenary contribution to this novel project.All entries will be exhibited at National AGM.
Féile Na Bealtaine
The National Library., Kildare Street, Dublin will host two events to mark the centenary of the ICA within the Bealtaine Festival.
There will be an open ICA Panel Discussion around the ICA, at the library, on Friday May 21 between 1pm and 2pm with time for audience Q and A. Included in this panel, chaired by an outside facilitator, will be National President Anne MariaDennison and other experienced ICA members .Do try and go along there. Easy access as a bus from Heuston Station stops outside the door !.
There will also be a display of archival material relating to the ICA from the National Library which is being curated by the staff of the National Library
There are three aspects to the exhibition;
A selection of local histories to emphasise the regional spread
Some general publications explaining the ICA
A section concerned with the range and affect of the ICA detailing the breadth of the archiveThe Library are keen that attendees see this as a living archive, and encourage people to submit more local histories, and to explore the archive for themselves. A comment book will be available encouraging people to leave their own thoughts and reminiscences.
