Mairead Kennedy RIP.
June 1 2010
Mairead Kennedy, formerly Rockfield House, Kildimo tragically drowned onJune 1 2010 while swimming near Muckross House, Killarney, a place she dearly loved to visit to spend time amid nature. Ms Kennedy trained as a librarian and worked for a time in the Limerick County Library in Pery Square. She lived for a number of years in Cork. All who knew her recognised her as a free spirit; her indomitable spirit always shone through. She was well known in the Kildimo – Pallaskenry area and more recently in Adare, where she resided at Embury Close. This was evident in the large number of people who attended her removal and funeral Mass in Pallaskenry. Her recent Month’s Mind in Adare provided an opportunity for many friends to spend time with her family in an evening of tribute to her memory. Ms Kennedy is survived by her brother Vincent, Rockfield House and sisters Ann Meade, Dublin; Maeve Bradley, Ballydoole, and Sinead Daffy, Nenagh.
