Cup cake Supremo
The task of judging 162 cupcakes, all presented in a very inviting manner with lots of colour and decoration was not an easy one. However at the end of the day the accolade of queen of the cupcakes went to Clarina’s Bridged McElligott with Kathleen Griffin of Kildimo and Doon’s Mary Sheehy being very close runners up. Congratulations to all involved and to contest secretary Marie Hayes and her backup team from Cappamore for a job well done.

Birthday Girls
Among the ICA group who travelled to Austria recently were birthday girls Linda Smyth, Deegerty, Freddie Taylor, Knocklong, Joan Murphy,Caherdavin and Eileen Tierney, Galway . As such special days are for celebrating the entire group entered into the spirit of the occasion making it a night to be remembered.
An interesting snippet of information from this holiday and something that could be useful here is that expenditure incurred in floral decoration of houses in Austria may be recouped from the household poll tax. To be kept in mind for certain callers on the door step perhaps sooner rather than later !
