Limerick Federation ICA Notes Week ending on February 3rd


“FOOD YOU LOVE”:-
Celebrity chef, Edward Hayden will give a cookery demonstration in The Woodlands House Hotel, Adare on February 28th at 8pm. Edward will be cooking from his new book “Food You Love” so come along and bring your friends as this promises to be a very entertaining evening. Tickets are available from all guild secretaries.
NEW OFFICERS:-
As this is an election year all Federation Officers have to change .New people bring new ideas and this is very important for the success of the organisation. Nomination papers are gone out to all the guilds and we hope there will be a good response.
EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT OFFICE:-
Limerick ICA members are invited to visit The European Parliament Offices in Dublin on Thursday February 23rd. A coach will leave from the bus park at the back of the Omniplex Cinema in the Crescent Shopping Centre at 7.30 am arriving in Dublin at approx. 11.30. There will be a one hour talk by the European Parliament Staff followed by lunch. The afternoon is free and the coach will leave Dublin at approx. 5pm. RANKS EXHIBITION:-
If you have any items for the Ranks Exhibition please contact Jacqui Hayes, archivist, at City Hall phone 061-407100. Baking stories should be brought along to the Federation Meeting on Feb. 21st. One mark will be awarded for each story for the Guild of the Year Competition.

COMHBHRÓN:-
Sympathy is extended to Mary Moloney, Arts Officer with Limerick Federation on the death of her sister, Teresa Kiley. Condolences also to the family and friends of Teresa Kelly of Doon guild who passed away recently.
DOON GUILD:-
It is with deep regret that Margaret Anderson wishes to announce the death of Teresa Kelly who was a loyal and committed member of Doon Guild.  Teresa served as President and Secretary of the Association in Doon and when the guild was renewed six years ago she was at hand with much appreciated advice to guide the guild in the right direction. Margaret also tells us that her interesting company and pleasant disposition will be greatly missed not only by the ICA but the community of Doon. Sincere sympathy is conveyed to her daughter, Nora, sons, John and Christy and her extended family and friends.
