Limerick Federation ICA Notes Week ending February 18th
NOMINATIONS FOR OFFICERS:-
All guilds are reminded to fill in nomination papers as we need a whole new line up of Federation Officers this year. You all know some very capable people so it is very important to support and encourage them to take up these positions.
INVITATION:-
Limerick Federation extends a “céad mile fáilte “ to anyone out there who would like to become a member of ICA. All you need to do is get in contact with Anne Gabbett 061-228017/087-6411656 or Joan Hayes 061355357/087-7761349 and they will introduce you to a guild near you. If you live in an area where there is no guild at present and if you and a few friends are interested in ICA the Federation Officers will be delighted to give you every help and support to set up a new guild.
VISIT TO EU OFFICES:-
Limerick ICA members are very enthusiastic about the visit to The European Parliament Offices in Dublin and the bus is now full. If however any members who have their names in feel they will not be able to travel they are asked to get in touch with Joan Hayes immediately and somebody else will take their place.

COMHBHRÓN:-
The recent death of Eileen Cronin Ballingarry was received with sadness by her ICA colleagues. Eileen was a native of Kilkenny and she came to Feenagh Creamery to work as a buttermaker. She then met her late husband Pat Joe and moved to a whole new life in Ballingarry. Eileen was a lifelong member of ICA as well as other farming organisations. She was a talented artist and won many competitions. She took a great interest in farming and represented ICA on many farming bodies. She valued her membership and was a very active participant in all social events. Sympathy is extended to her family and friends and may she rest in peace.
