TRAVEL:-

Breda Gantley, International Officer is arranging a four night trip to The Lake District in early September. The cost will be €429 per person not including insurance. The single supplement is €100. Further details are available from guild secretaries. These trips are very popular so if you are interested don’t delay in putting in your name.

BIDDY MULLANE CUP:-

This year the Craft Competition for The Biddy Mullane Cup will take place at The Federation AGM on Tuesday April 24th. Guilds are asked to display a selection of their craftwork on a bord and the maximum size is 1mX1m. Please let Carol O Keeffe 087 9721440 know if you are taking partbefore April 20th.This is the ideal opportunity for guilds to display the work of their members so we look forward to a wonderful display.

WELLNESS WORKSHOP:-

A wellness workshop will take place in An Grianán on Thursday May 24th 2012. This is an opportunity to learn strategies and tips to help take responsibility for your mental healthin a positive way.

There are only 30 places available and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The cost is €50 for the day and this includes dinner. There is an option to stay at An Grianán for Bed and Breakfast and this will cost an extra €45.

CAHERDAVIN:-

Caherdavin ICA Guild invites you to a unique evening of Woollen Craft. This will include a display and demonstration by Nellie Siebert. Nellie is a Dutch woman who settled in Connolly, Ennis, Co. Clare some years ago, and makes some items from her own sheep! She shears them and spins the wool on her spinning wheel, and then makes her own woollen products such as hats, handbags, scarves and lots more. Come along and see Nellie at work and you can learn all about her crafts on Thursday May 10th at 8pm in the Scout Hall Caherdavin, beside the Girls School. Admission €5.
