LIMERICK WEEK AT AN GRIANÁN:-
Anne Rowlands wishes to remind all those ladies travelling to An Grianán that the bus will depart from The Crescent Shopping Centre Limerick at 10.30 am on Monday July 16th.The pick up point will be at the back of the Omniplex Cinema. There are 43 ladies travelling and the classes for the week are –time for yourself –digital photography – hairpin crochet – watercolours – Limerick Lace – smocking and we hope they will have a very enjoyable week. If you have missed out this time then there are lots of more opportunities to visit An Grianán this year. Anne is organising another trip for Christmas Crafts and Cookery from Nov 13th to Nov 15th and the cost is €199 for ICA members and €229 for non members. There are some places still available so if you are interested contact Anne at 0876968690. A bus is also organised for this trip and the cost is €30.
COMHBHRÓN:-
Three long time members of Limerick ICA passed away recently. They were May O Connor of Mainistir Na Féile Guild Jo Geaney of Limerick City Guild and Peg Rowsome of Drombanna guild. All three ladies were very active members of the organisation and held many different officerships over the years. Sympathy is extended to their family and friends , Go ndéana Dia trócaire ortha.
SUMMER HOLLIDAYS :-
ICA Ladies are leading the way when it comes to holidaying in Ireland . Guilds are sending back wonderful reports on their annual outings and many are now doing weekend trips.
Mainistir Na Féile Guild spent a week end in Galway when they stayed at The Ardilaun Hotel and visited The World Quilting exhibition in UCG. They visited Salthill and spent an afternoon shopping in Galway. We are told they were still ready for dancing and singing in the night timeso well done to the organisors.
Cappamore Ladies enjoyed a fun filled week end in Donegal. Their base was The Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny and they toured The Inisowen Peninsula . They visited Glenveigh National Park, Dough Famine Village and Buncranna as well as Donegal Town itself.They had a very informative tour of Derry including The Bogside and The Walls of Derry and believe it or not but they met Daniel O Donnell and managed to fit in one of his concerts. This trip was organised by Mc Ginley’s Coaches in Fermanagh and a great time was had by all.
MILFORD HOSPICE HARVEST FAIR :-
Guilds are once again asked to collect groceries and produce for The ICA Stall . Your support for this very worthy cause is always very good and volunteers will also be needed to help out on the day. If you are available contact Federation President Phyllis O Halloran Secretary Mary Moloney.

Congratulations to Maura Walsh Cappamore who has been appointed Timire for Limerick Federation agus mar a dúirt Maura féin tá sí an bhródúil as an post nua. She hopes to promote a positive attitude to the language and culture agus “Tír gan Teanga Tír gan Anam.
