Limerick Federation ICA Notes Week ending July 21st

THE GATHERING:-
The Gathering Ireland 2013 is supporting individuals, communities, businesses and organisations in attracting extra visitors to Ireland during 2013. They will host special events to highlight what is unique about their community and Ireland as a whole. It’s going to be a fun-filled year of celebration. Momentum and support has been growing. Already a number of well-known Irish personalities have pledged their support, including Pierce Brosnan, Liam Neeson, Maeve Binchy and Paul O’Connell alongside a number of individuals and organisations who have the networks, expertise and experience required to activate support and enhance the capacity of The Gathering. Limerick County Council have set up a steering group and a meeting will be held in early September for all those interested in getting involved. Phyllis O’Halloran, Limerick Federation ICA President, has already been invited to be part of this group and ICA guilds will be giving their full support.

MILFORD HOSPICE:-
The Harvest Fair, which is a big fundraiser for Milford Hospice, will be held on Sunday September 2nd and volunteers are needed to help with the ICA grocery stall. If you are available and would like to help, please give your name to Mary Moloney at (087) 9397514. Groceries are also needed so don’t forget to put in that extra effort!

LIMERICK WEEK:-
We hope that all the Limerick Ladies are having a ball at An GrianĂ¡n. We look forward to hearing all their stories when they get back.

SHOWS:-
Limerick Show and Cappamore Show are coming up shortly so get your entries in! Remember, there will be a special ICA competition in Cappamore for ICA Ladies. You are asked to make a fascinator or hat suitable for a day at the races.
